This is an rare original Henry Leman percussion conversion of a Harpers Ferry Model 1822/28 69 caliber smoothbore musket. Leman was located in Lancaster, Pa. and altered 7,993 muskets to percussion for the State of Pennsylvania's Civil War issue. This musket is complete with original ramrod and sling swivels. The bayonet lug is missing on the top of the barrel but it is easily replaced if so desired. A crack in the stock between the tang and lock has been repaired. The bore has some pitting but is well above average for the age of the musket. Leman's conversion is very distinct with the clean out screw in the bolster. All parts are well marked and are consistent with the original manufacturer. Overall a very nice musket. Additional photos are available upon request.
