by R. E. Davis. This is a great early Germanic “export lock” that has been faithfully copied from the collection of Master gunsmith and locksmith Jack Brooks. Jack produced the patterns. The molds and tooling were produced by Master mold maker Larry Zornes of the Mold and Gun Shop, Ohio. His molds are producing wonderful exacting parts for assembly.

This is a great lock for an Early American flint lock rifle. The plate is not too fancy but can easily have the traditional "slashes" added on the tail or have some decorative filing, molding or engraving added. Would also be appropriate for a Jeager style flint lock rifle. Features "boss' on the back of sear to reduce drag for fast ignition, frizzen is attached with internal screw and is properly styled with a wide face and decorative curl, plate is 5-13/16" long x 1" wide.Right Hand only. No. 43122

An excellent choice for Early American Rifles and fowlers including Reading and Christian Springs and Jeagers.
