KENTUCKY BELT AXE Small axes like these were carried by many Eastern Longhunters and were popular from the French & Indian War period up through the early 19th century. This hand forged head with it's typical flat hammer poll and oblong eye, is 4-1/2" long with a 2" blade, making it a handy camp tool as well as a formidable weapon that is often carried on the belt or attached to a shooting bag.
