from R. E. Davis. This Hawken lock is a reproduction of an original. The tooling was done by Ron Long. These locks have been in widespread use for many years, and have proven their dependability. Intended to be used with hooked breeched muzzle loading rifles, but can be used with a drum, by milling or filing a 1/2" cutout to accept it. A High quality lock, properly hardened and well finished. Fly in tumbler. Plate 4-7/8" long, 1" wide, 1-1/2" throw.
