Designed especially for muzzle-loading fireams. The solid bases are drilled, then the brass wire stem is inserted thru the base and assembled. This prevents the swab from pulling off the base and becoming lost in the barrel. Available in 10 sizes from .32 to .75 caliber 8 x 32 threads.

We have always found one to be handy for cleaning with a second one for a generous application of oil.
