This lock has also been called the "Baby Durs Egg" or the "John Bailes" lock. it features a swan or goose neck style hammer,  fly equipped tumbler as well as sear have raised bearing surfaces to reduce contact with plate and bridle, reducing friction. Inside polished, internal parts are heat treated and pre-tuned. A scaled-down version of the famous Durs Egg flint lock, suitable for most middle to late period English "London Quality" rifles.
