from L&R. A recreation of the late Hawken percussion lock for use with a snail breech system. In his quality "St. Louis Guns", Sam Hawken used locks from different manufacturers. This lock plate is very similar to the locks made by T. Gibbons and utilized by Sam Hawken. This lock is cut to accept the snail or hook patent breech system.
