From L&R. The RPL line was developed in answer to tremendous customer demand for a better lock than those found on most factory muzzle loading rifles today. Each RPL lock is all American made by experienced craftsmen and backed by the reliable parts and service of L&R. These precision built locks feature competition strokes, bearing surfaced internals and forged "V" mainsprings, rain resistant pan and rollered frizzen. These locks are not "drop-ins". They do require some inletting to allow for the working parts. Patterns for wood removal will be provided in a booklet of instructions packaged with the lock. Depending  on skill level , they can be installed in 15 to 35 minutes using common chisels and gouges.

Replaces Hatfield, Blue Ridge and Frontier Models. Pattern is based on an early Ketland lock making it a good option for custom rifles as well. Plate measures 5-5/8" x 1" and is interchangeable with the percussion plate. A new lock bolt is included with the instruction booklet. No. 43023
